DIY Scrabble Buckets

August 16, 2012 in Chloe Addlington - DIY, DIY by JenniBush

Hello lovely people,

I hope you’re having a good summer? Today I have a DIY project from Adore to share with you. I made these cute scrabble buckets to add some prettiness to my mantelpiece at home but they would make lovely table decorations too. I see lots of weddings with large table centres, which might look lovely, but they’re really hard for your guests to talk around and see each other!! So that’s today’s top tip… go for low height table decorations ;-)

These are really simple to make too… click here for all the instructions on my blog!

Have a lovely day,

Morning!

So with the Olympics now only days away I thought I’d share a little DIY project you could make for all the parties and celebrating ;-) The beauty of this chalkboard bunting of course is that you can change the message as often as you like… maybe for each different sport or party?!

DIY Wedding Decorations… A Pretty Ribbon Frame

May 18, 2012 in Chloe Addlington - DIY, DIY, Other by Chloe

Hello,

I’m Chloe, I blog about crafty weddings over on my blog, Adore By Chloe. I’m thrilled to be popping by The Bride Academy at least once a month to share a DIY project, answer any questions and hopefully inspire a little creativity?!

Let’s start with a project which makes a lovely backdrop for a guest book or sweetie table, a DIY ribbon frame…

To make it you will need an empty frame, a glue gun, fabric scissors and lengths of ribbon. (You can pick up vintage frames like mine at antique fairs or from ebay for a few pounds each!)

Step-by-step guide…

1. Start by laying your frame face down and measuring the height with a length of ribbon

2. Cut different colours and textures of ribbon to the same length until you have enough to fill your frame…

3. Now start gluing! Apply the glue to the back of your frame and stick down the end of the ribbon. Pull tightly to the opposite side and glue in position again.

4. Repeat until you’ve filled the frame, leaving a small gap in between each ribbon

5. Tidy up by snipping off any excess ribbon

And you’re done! Just prop up at the back of your table to add some pretty to your guest book or gift area…

You could even make a big one to use as a photo booth backdrop?

What do you think? What are you DIY-ing for your big day?

Happy crafting,

Chloe x
